In 2009, Morehead Elementary underwent major renovations, as well as an addition that included a new media center, art, music and standard classrooms. Renovations were also completed on the existing classrooms and administration areas. Energy efficient lighting with occupancy controls were installed and an electrical upgrade service with new addressable fire alarm system were installed. Low flow plumbing fixtures and an energy efficient HVAC systems were installed throughout the new and existing areas.
